My sister is a very good blogger. I, however, am not. I forget. Or get distracted (you should see how many blogs I have half-finished). I never really know where I'm going with a conversation or what point I intend to get across.
I don't know where I'm going with this.
If you ever get tired of waiting for me to catch you up on life, go read my sisters blog HERE. She's an excellent writer and a heckuva cook. And she has a cute kid.
I might try to connect our blogs in some way someday. But I don't know how... so "MELISSA, if you're reading this, let's do that."
Gosh - when you look at my blog, it looks like I've been blogging for 3 years!! Tricky Becca... I've only posted 39 times.
Sorry..
I have 5 members. You probably all wonder why you started following me. I will make it up to you.
Moving on. So the past month (or two?) has been an exciting one(s). Kylie turned 4 months old, I went on vacation (what??!), I started dating someone (WHAT??!), and I went on a couple of work trips. So I'll sum it up. Give me a second to pull up my calendar.
In January we celebrated Mom's birthday. She won't be happy if I
share what birthday we celebrated so we will say "she doesn't look a day
over 47!!. Love you mom.
I had a "ladies night" that included 9 girlfriends (including my niece) on the second Friday of January. That's a lot of girls. It was a fun night! We watched (and sang along to) "Pitch Perfect", played UNO, ate good snacks (of which I will share the recipe's), drank good drinks (of which I paid $2.99 per bottle), and played beer pong with wiffle balls. I spelled that wrong but am going to leave it as-is. Maybe someday someone will google "wiffle balls" spelling it the same way I did and will be enlightened by my blernal. I was going to link that word so you know what the heck I'm talking about but I don't know when (in the past 3 years) I wrote it. So help a sister out!
We also threw a semi-surprise party for my dad's 50th birthday!! You can read about the party and why it wasn't a FULL surprise, on Melissa's blog. She's thorough. I will show you what I did for his gift this weekend (promise).
I drove to Des Moines, IA. It's such an exciting journey.
My friends the Kollath's got MARRIED!! What a fun wedding they had - Amy looked so beautiful and Kent looked elated. They are a neat pair - I moved in near them when I bought my house last April. They are a part of my Lamont family...
Speaking of which; how nice is it to come home from a work trip to a nicely shoveled/plowed driveway??! They always take such good care of each other. I hope it snows some day soon so I can go out and shovel a few driveways to repay them all!
Shortly after the wedding I experienced my FIRST EVER Valentine's day with a valentine... He thinks I'm such a skeptic. That's because I AM a skeptic. I'll write you a note about him and our valentine's day at some point, too.
Last things that happened recently were a couple of trips; I went to see aunt Larinda and cousin Anna in Milwaukee (which deserves a post of it's own) and I took a trip to Arizona for VACATION! I'll tell you about my trip to Arizona soon. I promise again. Want to know how I intend to hold onto that promise? I am going to write these posts today and SCHEDULE them to post! That, my friends, is strategy.
That's the quick(ish) catch-up for ya. Sincere apologies for the disorganization and such but chalk it up as "just another day with Rebecca!!" :)
Love to you all (5)!

We better change your blog design this weekend. By the way, how many posts did you just promise to write? I lost count. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Glad to be one of the 5!
